Welcome to the website for Theosophical Network


Theosophical Network was established in aarhus on 7. August 2004 between 10 Theosophical Associations in Denmark and Norway. The occasion was that the Associations sent two representatives to the Fourth Parliament of the World´s Religions in Barcelona on 7-13. July 2004.

The Network has the purpose of furthering cooperation between the Associations, help their interreligious work and simplify contacts and cooperation with groups and persons internationally. The network is not an organization, but cooperation characterized by mutual motivation.

The Associations of the Network identify themselves with the Theosophical Impulse as described here on this website and consider themselves as part of the Theosophical Movement in the world, with close relations to kindred esoteric and spiritual groups, and in recognition of unity in diversity.
Participation in Theosophical Network imply that the involved Association or group makes a yearly support to the work with a small amount, to cover expenses – for instance the maintainance of the two websides www.theosophy-net.info and www.teosofi-net.info. Currently the amount is minimum 15.00 USD.

 

It is possible for Associations and groups to apply for membership in Theosophical Network, as long as they identify themselves with the Theosophical Impulse and Movement and wants to strengthen the cooperation across borders.

It is also possible for Associations, groups and persons to become affiliated, if they consider their work to be of a kindred nature, and wants to further cooperation and good relations. The implied groups or persons have to apply in the same way as with application for membership. Affiliated groups and persons are informed about the activities of the network and they can participate in activities and cooperation.
Contact Persons in Theosophical Network corresponds via e-mail about relevant issues and meet once a year in the first weekend in August. The groups in the network mail about major issues of mutual interest and international significance, about vital intern questions of general interest, about proposals to joint efforts and feedback on ideas. Mails that ask for mutual response have a deadline within 14 days so that communication and decisions are not unnecessary delayed.

The Associations in Theosophical Network are Theosophical Association Aalborg (Denmark), Theosophical Association Aarhus (Denmark), Theosophical Association Copenhagen (Denmark), Theosophical Association Frederikshavn (Denmark), Theosophical Association Fyn (Denmark), Theosophical Association Naestved (Denmark), Theosophical Association Stavanger (Norway), Theosophical Association Telemark/Vestfold (Norway), Theosophical Center Oslo (Norway) and The Golden Circle (Denmark).
